10 ways I prompt ChatGPT to give me great content
A thread...
I use ChatGPT to create scripts for videos.
I use ChatGPT to create content for speeches and slides and trainings.
I use ChatGPT to create content for books.
The key thing is to know how to prompt it well.
1. Here's an example of how I prompt to generate quotes.
- "I am writing a book on how to sell knowledge products. I want to insert quotes. Write me 30 different quotes. Let each quote have 10 words each. Make them as real and honest and punchy as ever."
2. Here's an example of how I prompt to generate content for my speaking slides.
- "I have been asked to deliver a talk on How To Build Sustainable Influence and Authority In Today's World. I want YOU to become a leadership strategist and draw inferences from political, social, religious and economic events around the world. Tell me 6 ways to build Sustainable Influence and Authority In Today's World."
3. Here's how I get messages for Sunday sermons.
- "Going to church on Sunday should come with some form of preparation - giving, dressing, composure, decorum, speech. Act as a great teacher of the Bible, in what 10 ways should Christians prepare for church on Sundays? Be brutally honest and frank."
4. When I see a copy that I like, I copy it and paste in ChatGPT and then I prompt it as follows...
- "Assume the role of a professional copywriter and rewrite me a 500-word copy of the above script to post on my social media timeline to convince people to sign up for it. Make it honest, brutal, convincing and hypnotic."
5. Here's how I prompt it to write me a copy to be used to get people paying for strategy sessions.
- "I am an expert on leadership, marketing, sales and business culture. I want to host a strategy session for 40 people on June 28th, 2025. Fee is N25,000. Assume the role of a professional copywriter and write me a 500-word copy to use on my social media timeline to convince people to sign up for it. Make it honest, brutal, convincing and hypnotic."
6. I have a strategy in my head, but I need to expand it the more. I copy it into ChatGPT and then prompt it.
See below.
December 25th Launch
- I chose to launch on Christmas day because it was a departure from the norm. All over the world, it's appreciated that physical goods can be sold during the Christmas season. Many shops slash their prices. Airlines are booked to the brim by people flying across the world to celebrate the season.
Most intellectuals don't launch on such days. In fact, once it gets to December, most events aren't of the intellectual nature. Events of celebratory nature fill calendars. Companies shut down their training schedules. Those in the knowledge space freeze or halt product launches. I decided to do what many in the knowledge space don't do - launch a course on Christmas Day. It turned out to be a remarkable success as I enjoyed December 25th, 2022, listening to the beep of payments.
------
The above is the strategy. Then I prompt it as below.
- "The above is a strategy I used to promote a video course. I need you to act as my strategist and tell me what more I can you add to the above research I've made, based on research and works that others have done?"
It crawls and brings more to my learning.
7. I want to write email headings that are hypnotic and will make people open my emails and at the same time, I don't want the heading to be flagged by email organisations.
I prompt ChatGPT.
- "Assume that you know ALL the email providers in the world. I want to write an email heading that will make people open my email. Give me 10 different types of email headers relating to the topic of money, but the heading should not flout spam and flagging rules."
8. I use ChatGPT to write emails.
- "I want to write an email of 1500 words. Assume you're an email reader that dislikes intrusive emails that are fluffy. I want YOU to write such an email to a person like you in very authentic ways so that he or she can open the email and read it and take a decision to buy from me."
9. I use ChatGPT to find challenges people have when I want to create content to bypass their resistance.
- "I want to sell a course on social media marketing. What are the top 10 challenges businesspeople have when using social media that makes them cry in their closet, wishing that someone understands them and shows them a solution?"
10. When I want to educate....
- "I want to educate business persons that sell physical products on the need to have a website where people can order their products. State 20 reasons that are convincing enough as to why they should have such a website."
There's a lot more that ChatGPT can aid YOU do.
Just be better at prompting it and seeing the results that follow.
In all, do NOT copy word for word so you don't sound dumb as a copycat.
Change wordings
Infuse your own stories.
Remove hyphens and remember to do exact inserts in brackets.
Simplify your own language.
ChatGPT is a great tool that helps me juggle my brain to see many perspectives when I am creating.
It's a fascinating tool.
Prompt it well and remember to remain authentic and original.
