Is a Choice to Live at the Mercy of Men in Your Studies/Early Career Path - Dr. Babylon Philimon ( PhD)
During my undergraduate days, precisely in my final year 16 years ago, I had a misunderstanding with a very powerful lab technician. My classmates reading this post know the person I am talking about. We feared him more than all the lecturers in the department. I can describe him as one of the rudest people I have ever met in my life. After the misunderstanding, he told me to my face, “Let’s see how you will graduate.”
Hey! I didn’t only graduate, I graduated eight times. Apart from the eight degrees I obtained, I also completed over 100 certified short courses, which I don’t even include them on my CV because they are just too much. Wait, if the Almighty has generously given us the gift of life, even when we didn’t ask Him, what is paper (certificate/job appointment) that He won’t give us if we ask and work for it? Is there anything too hard for Him to do or to give?
To students and early-careers: it is a choice to live at the mercy of men. And if you make that choice, you are in serious trouble because most men/women are extremely wicked. Such people see your progress as a threat. Work hard, work smart, link up with good mentors, and most importantly, trust and depend on God.
To the wicked men/women: You have the choice to change your ways and your mindset, or you will continue to receive breakthrough news that will break you day by day. The Almighty will not seek your permission before He raises others. The young must grow and rise.
